How to use in-sentence of “at the risk of”:
– It was to be presented to a sailor or Marine who “in action involving actual conflict with the enemy, distinguish himself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty” and without detriment to his mission.
– The medal is bestowed “for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life, above and beyond the call of duty, in actual combat against an armed enemy force” and the recipient must have distinguished themselves at the risk of their own life above and beyond the call of duty in action against an enemy of the United States.
– A recipient must distinguish themselves at the risk of their own life above and beyond the call of duty in action against an enemy of the United States.
– Recipients must have distinguished themselves at the risk of their own life above and beyond the call of duty in action against an enemy of the United States.
– To receive it they must distinguish themselves “…conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States…”.
