VSTEP B1, B2, C1 Speaking Part 2: Solution Discussion

- Question:

You are planning a birthday surprise for your friend. Would you organize a surprise party, a road trip, or a concert?

- Answer:

I would organize a surprise party for my friend. All three options can certainly make for a memorable birthday, but a surprise party offers the added advantage of allowing the celebrant to share their special day with as many loved ones as possible.

A road trip could provide a unique and adventurous experience, but might be limiting in terms of who could join due to space and time constraints. A concert, on the other hand, is contingent on the availability and timing of the artist's performance, and might not offer the same level of intimacy and personal interaction.

A surprise party, however, can be meticulously planned to cater to the friend's preferences. We can choose a theme they'd enjoy, prepare their favorite foods, and invite all the important people in their life. This not only offers a personal touch but also facilitates a deeper sense of connection and shared joy among friends and family. It's these intimate moments that often make the best memories.
