VSTEP B1, B2, C1 Speaking Part 2: Solution Discussion

- Question:

You need to commute to work every day. Would you prefer the subway, bus, or bike-sharing?

- Answer:

I would opt for the subway as my preferred mode of commuting to work. Subways, being an underground mode of transportation, are often more reliable and faster than buses, as they are unaffected by traffic conditions on the roads.

Buses, although a valid choice, are prone to delays due to traffic congestion or roadworks. This uncertainty could potentially make commuting to work stressful, especially during peak hours.

Bike-sharing is an eco-friendly option, but it may not be suitable for everyone or for all weather conditions. Additionally, depending on the distance and the availability of safe bike lanes, commuting by bike could be tiring and risky.

In contrast, subways are typically timely and efficient, even during peak hours. They also have the capacity to accommodate more passengers comfortably. Plus, the travel time can be used for reading or catching up on emails, which may not be possible with other modes of transportation. Thus, for reliability and convenience, I'd choose the subway.
