VSTEP B1, B2, C1 Speaking Part 2: Solution Discussion

- Question:

A group of students are discussing where to buy clothes: in a shop, in an open air market, or in an online shop. Which do you think is the best choice?

- Answer:

I would recommend buying clothes in a shop. Shopping in an open air market can offer unique finds and haggling experiences, but it may lack consistency in quality and availability. Shopping in an online store provides convenience and a wide selection but is lacking in physical interaction with the product.

On the other hand, shopping in a physical shop offers several advantages that the other two options may not provide. It allows you to try on clothes, ensuring a good fit, which is essential for comfort and satisfaction with your purchase. It also enables you to check the quality of the materials firsthand, reducing the likelihood of disappointment.

Furthermore, shopping in a store can also provide immediate ownership. Unlike online shopping, there's no need to wait for delivery or deal with potential shipping issues. Lastly, there's the benefit of sales assistance, where shop staff can offer advice and additional options.

While each option has its merits, I believe the traditional in-shop experience provides the most reliable and satisfactory clothing shopping experience.
