VSTEP B1, B2, C1 Speaking Part 2: Solution Discussion

- Question:

You are planning a summer holiday. Would you prefer a camping trip, a city tour, or a cruise vacation?

- Answer:

In considering the holiday options, I would prefer a camping trip. Although a city tour offers rich cultural experiences and a cruise vacation provides a sense of luxury, I find camping allows a greater connection to nature, peace, and personal growth.

Camping allows me to step away from technology, offering an antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life. This is something a city tour cannot offer due to its inherent busy nature. A city tour, while culturally enriching, tends to be guided, leaving less room for personal exploration or reflection.

In contrast to a cruise vacation, camping is more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Cruises, while luxurious, have a substantial environmental impact, from emissions to waste disposal. Furthermore, the structured itinerary of a cruise lacks the freedom and flexibility camping provides.

Overall, choosing a camping trip over a city tour or cruise vacation suits my preference for simplicity, environmental consciousness, and the opportunity to connect with nature and myself.
