TOEFL iBT is Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based Test

The iBT version of the TOEFL test is scored on a scale of 0 to 120 points.
Each of the four sections (Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing) receives a scaled score from 0 to 30. The scaled scores from the four sections are added together to determine the total score.
Each speaking question is initially given a score of 0 to 4, and each writing question is initially given a score of 0 to 5. These scores are converted to scaled scores of 0 to 30.

There are a few differences between the TOEFL tests,(ibt - internet based test and pbt paper based test) The pbt is the older original form of the test, which has been mostly replaced by the ibt and there are a few differences. F
irst of all as mentioned the scoring is different, there is also a test time difference. The internet-based test is 4 hours 30 minutes long while the paper-based test is 3 hours 30 minutes long.
The paper-based test does not include a speaking test while the internet-based test does.
Most testing centers now only offer the ibt, so you may not actually have a choice, however some places do offer the pbt several times a year, and some very remote areas offer only the pbt. Some programs of study prefer the ibt as it also measures speaking ability. Hope this helps!
