if I was your employer, I would help you based on you output. Can we use 'were' instead of 'was'?

Please answer my above question and let me know how and why?

The condition clause expresses a condition that is known to be false, or presented as unlikely -> we use were instead of was ex: If I were you. I would not go. So you can say "if I were your employer, I would help you based on you output."
