No, it isn't Structure: both + verb, noun, or adjective; and + verb, noun, or adjective Example: 1. I like both his car and his cellphone. (both + noun and + noun) 2. I can both run and walk. (both + verb and + verb) 3. I am both hot and cold (both + adjective and + adjective) So "he both plays tennis and football" should be he plays both tennis and football.
