what's the difference between "during and while"?

I mean what's the difference to use them in a sentence?

"during" is a preposition (during + noun) to talk about when something happens "while" is a conjunction.(while + S + V) to talk about two things happen at the same time. Ex: - Don't talk during the test - I knew him while I was studying at university

"I'm talking to you "during" the basketball game. "Don't speak to me "while" I do my homework." There is a big difference.... >:) You'll figure it out if you really concentrate on these words.
