1. Inspite of the flood, I arrived at school in time.
2. In spite of the flood, I arrived at school in time.

Which sentence is correct? Please help!!!!!

#2 is correct. Remember that in spite of (3 words) = despite

Therefore, the #2 sentence = despite the flood, I arrived at school in time.
