when to add ing in a verb or a word correctly?

i wanna know the proper way to add "ing" in a word that still agrees to the subject verb agreement! and why cant i say (my friends "calling" me rige) how could it be wrong?

- How to add "ing" for English verbs? You should review the continuous tense in grammar. There is no rule how to use V-ing after a verb or a phrase verb. You have to remember.
- "my friends "calling" me rige" is not correct. It should be "My friends call me Rige" because this is true in general (we use present simple).
