why's there an OF in the end?

WHOSE WRITINGS ARE HIGHLY THOUGHT wouldn't be enough and right ? it means her writings have been written with much thought right?  :/

i got problems with such prepositions :(

"To be thought of" is the passive of "to think of," which means "to have an opinion of/on/about." In your sentence, somebody thinks highly of the novelist's writings ( = has a good opinion of them.)
