What is the difference between "too" and "very"?

What is the difference between "too" and "very"? Thank you very much for your help.

- too + adjective means there's trouble
- very + adjective - positive meaning

Example:
- His girlfriend is very beautiful (you say from the bottom of your heart with positive meaning)
- His girlfriend is too beautiful (it might indicate that his girlfriend's beauty causes trouble)

too and very both illustrate same meaning,but too is mostly used in conveying negative ideas and very in positive...

I was too late in lecture.(I was very late in lecture yesterday )wrong
he is very handsome.(he is too handsome) wrong
