style=\"color:#0084ff\">cell wall<\/strong> around their cell membrane.\n<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The antibiotic penicillin is able to kill bacteria by preventing the cross-linking of peptidoglycan and this causes the <strong style=\"color:#0084ff\">cell wall<\/strong> to weaken and lyse.\n<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; They have a lignified <strong style=\"color:#0084ff\">cell wall<\/strong> and a
