How to use in-sentence of “nominative”:
– The nominative case, the form listed in the dictionary, is used for the subject of the sentence.
– The vocative case is almost always the same as the nominative case; however, if the nominative ends in -us, it changes to -e, and if the nominative ends in -ius, it changes to -i.
– In the nominative case, adjectives that describe feminine words usually end in -ая or -яя.
– For older cases, references to nominative reporters may be added; and new cases that have yet to appear in the “United States Report” may be referenced using their docket numbers.
– German “Alpen” is the accusative in origin, but was made the nominative in Modern German, whence also “Alm”.
