VSTEP B1, B2, C1 Speaking Part 2: Solution Discussion

- Question:

If you were to focus on one aspect to increase your personal happiness, would it be career satisfaction, personal relationships, or personal health?

- Answer:

I would choose to focus on personal health to increase my happiness. I believe that a sound body harbors a sound mind. When our health is good, we have the energy and focus to work efficiently and build strong relationships.

Career satisfaction is important, but without good health, even the best job can become a burden. It's also not guaranteed that career achievements will always bring happiness, as professional success can sometimes come with increased stress and responsibilities.

Maintaining personal relationships is also essential for happiness. But again, without good health, it's difficult to be present for others or to enjoy their company to the fullest.

In contrast, personal health is the bedrock upon which both career satisfaction and fruitful personal relationships can be built. It enhances productivity at work and allows for more meaningful interactions with others. Therefore, focusing on personal health seems like the most effective way to increase overall happiness, as it indirectly supports the other two aspects as well.
